What do you think, guys?

The clickable alternative 'lad mag.'

"It is not just women who are being harmed by lad mags, it's also the lads themselves. Lad mags, if they were to cater for men's real needs, should recognise men as thinking, feeling beings who need to directly bond with each other - not bond over the denigration of women.

"Lad mags encourage men to view women as inferior, thus perpetuating a culture of contempt against women. Magazines for men and boys could instead focus on the experiences of men and boys. They are the ones that should be on the front cover - as once used to be the case." - Dr. Sasha Rakoff

let me expand my last comment.

"lad mags" and other such things, "encourage men to view women as inferior, thus perpetuating a culture of contempt against women."

but only by men who already view women as inferior. and no amount of "gender studies" or other such thing, will change their ignorant, misogynistic, small minds.

these bad apples are the ones who are going to ruin porn (by getting it banned) for the rest of us.

which is why, in the end, i could care less about this. it's like saying violent movies and video games cause people to become violent. sick perverts are sick pervert. misogynist are ... well you get the tautology.

games, movies, music and magazines et al. don't cause people to do anything. violent people are violent, misgyonist are... etc... which is why they would be attracted to such movies and games and music and magazines. but it is not to say that the normal minded person will view these things and have it affect them.

so i repeat my new favortie saying

    pfft-- who cares?

Even a casual glance at the covers of lad mags at your local Borders should tell you that beautiful boys appear on Vanity Fair, Esquire, Blender, and GQ as often as girls.
